What is the heaviest amp sim?

Otto Audio's II II II II is built to be the heaviest amp sim for metal, djent, deathcore and down-tuned guitar. None heavier. Players who own Neural DSP®, Odeholm®, STL®, TH-U® and BIAS® plugins say it is heavier than those (see quotes below). You can test it yourself with the free 14-day trial.

How does II II II II compare to Neural DSP and other amp sims?

Neural DSP's Archetype® plugins (such as Gojira®) and Odeholm's plugins are modelled on specific amps or artist signature tones. II II II II is not a copy of one amp: it is designed from the ground up for high gain, with power amp controls (bias, tube type, impedance curve) that most amp sims don't offer. Hundreds of thousands of possible amp tone permutations, compared to the usual 1–4 amps in a typical amp sim suite. Players who have used both say:

Is there a free trial?

Yes. II II II II, MORE IS MORE, BLOWN OUT WALL, DJAA MAASTA, DJAA MAASTA ULLTRAA and LEAD BASS each have a free 14-day trial. The trial is the same installer as the full version; buying a license in iLok makes it the full version.

Does it work on Mac and Windows? In my DAW?

Yes. Otto Audio plugins run on Mac and Windows PC as AU, VST3 and AAX, so they work in Logic Pro®, Pro Tools, REAPER®, Cubase®, Ableton® Live, FL Studio®, Studio One® and other DAWs. II II II II also has a standalone app for practice and live use.

Do I need an iLok dongle?

No. Licenses use a free iLok account and can be activated on your computer or in the cloud. No USB dongle is needed.

Is II II II II good for live use?
